It is official now that the Lakers will not surpass San Antonio for the #1 seed in the Western Conference playoffs. Only 2 games ahead of Dallas and exactly 5 games left of the regular season, the Lakers seem pretty clear to me to grab the #2 seed in the playoffs.
Currently the New Orleans Hornets are the #7th seed, however Memphis is only .5 game back and the Portland Trailblazers are only 1 game ahead. With only a handful of games left in the regular season, it is going to be pretty interesting to see how the final seeding will be determined.
